Weekly training courses held at Lach Dennis village hall, Holmes Chapel Road, Lach Dennis, Cheshire, CW9 7SZ, every Monday and Thursday evening.
The Kennel Club Good Citizen Classes on Monday's are: Starting a new class on Monday 20th Feb for beginners Bronze class
Beginners Bronze Class 6.00pm to 7.00pm
2nd Class Beginners Bronze class 7.10pm to 8.10pm
Silver and Gold Class 8.15pm to 9.15pm # At the moment Silver and Gold classes are running together
Silver and Gold Assessments will be held on Monday 12th March starting at 8.10pm
Thursday Puppy classes are:
Puppy Class 6.30pm to 7.30pm and run for six weeks starting new course on Thursday 16th February 2012.
The next Puppy Course will be starting on THURSDAY 16th February 2012

The Kennel Club Puppy Foundation class Thursday 6.30pm to 7.30pm.
- Attentive response to name
- Socialisation with unknown puppies and people
- Handling and inspection
- Fun puppy recall
- Puppy Play
- Food manners
- Learning to Take and Leave object
- Sit, down and stand
- Walking with a loose lead
- Incorporating the Kennel Club Good Citizen Puppy Foundation Assessment. (Certificate and rosette for all successful participants).
Once you have passed the Puppy Foundation Class you will have the opportunity to progress to:
Beginners Bronze Class Monday 6.00pm to 7.00pm.
- Progression of pet obedience
- Good manners and socialisation
- Progression on to walking without a lead
- Relaxed settle exercises
- Road and Path Walking
- Whistle work for emergency stops
All classes are run with small numbers (maximum ten dogs and handlers) using kind, fair, effective, reward based training. Most courses consist of fifty to sixty-minute sessions. The puppy course may be less as puppies have a very short attention span and we need to leave training on a good note. The classes are small, friendly, and provide training in an appropriate safe environment.
Other training services
One to One Training. On any problem behaviour lasting for an hour. One to One Behavioural Consultations lasting one and a half to two hours covering problems such as:
- Aggression - People/Other Animals
- Destructiveness
- Toileting problems
- Marking
- Spraying
- Self Mutilation
- Excessive vocalisation
- Nervousness, fear and phobias
- Car travel
- General lack of control
- Food, toys or items of possession guarding
Further Services
- Dog Walking.
- Gundog training in groups or one to one sessions (see gundog training page).
- Clicker Training on a one to one basis or you can use this method in class as long as you know the art of using it.
